The celebrated and casual Salmon ‘n’ Bannock Bistro is located in the Traditional Coast Salish Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil Waututh First Nations—present-day Vancouver. Saskatoon berries and soapberries; stinging nettle and sea asparagus; birch syrup and cedar jelly; free-range game and wild seafood all make appearances on the menu of this small—but always packed—restaurant. Canada’s only Indigenous restaurant at an airport, Salmon n’ Bannock – On the Fly is open 7 days a week from 7 AM to 9 PM. The eatery is located post-security at International Departures and offers a selection of freshly made sandwiches, meals, and snacks, along with coffee, tea, and a variety of beverages.

Trend meets tradition at Mr. Bannock—the first Indigenous food truck in Vancouver. The yummy and affordable menu includes award-winning bannock tacos and a creative Indigenous twist on chicken and waffles–juniper dry-rubbed chicken on waffle bannock. Tradish brings traditional Indigenous nourishment to urban Indigenous and non-Indigenous health conscience people while supporting Indigenous food sovereignty. Due to a lack of access to traditional foods, our urban Indigenous population is disconnected from conventional Indigenous nutrition. Tradish emphasizes organic, Indigenous, sustainable nourishment with the help of our jam product line and other products.

Tradish’s Ancestors Cafe provides”tradishional” nourishment for both urban Indigenous and non-Indigenous health-conscious people, all the while upholding Indigenous food sovereignty. Enjoy savoury menu items such as their Bison or Elk Bannock Tacos or sweet cookies and teas infused with plant medicine. Ancestors Cafe is located inside the Fort Langley National Historic Site. Access to the Fort is $10, and includes a complimentary serving of Bannock and Jam (valued at $10). Admission is free for Indigenous people.
