Spawning Knowledge - Carving & Culture Workshops 2013

Spawning Knowledge - Carving & Culture Workshops presented by the Native Education College. Learn to carve in a safe manner while learning about the salmon and its importance to Aboriginal people mainly the Coast Salish. While carving, you will also learn the history of the traditional territory of the Musqueam people.  Workshops incorporate other real-world skills, such as Ethnobotany, Silk-screening and Graphic Design.

Space is limitied; priority is given to Aboriginal youth paritcipants of the ages 15-24 this is because the project is funded by the Cultural Connections for Aboriginal Youth. All are welcome to attend, no one will be turned away.
