CAREER OPPORTUNITY: Chief Governance & Partnership Officer

Indigenous Tourism BC (ITBC) invites culturally respectful tourism leaders to join our team as the Chief Governance & Partnership Officer (CGPO). This position will work in a team-setting in the development and management of strategic and business initiatives working closely with two other Chief Officers and the Board of Directors (House of Tyee) and external partners.
 
  • You will be one of three leaders in a shared top-level consensus decision-making system consisting of the Chief Marketing & Development Officer and the Chief Financial Officer.
  • These leaders carry out the strategic direction to the House of Tyee, as well as create and manage the environment that contributes to realizing the ITBC vision.
  • This person will act to enhance the organization’s reputation and external relations, as well as lead the Governance & Partnership Family House (department) while practicing Indigenous cultural values.
  • To thrive as the CGPO, you must be a prudent and inspiring leader that works well with others, respects Indigenous cultures and values, while seeking win-win solutions and keeping healthy relationships.
  • The ideal candidate will have a business mindset and be able to see the ‘big picture’ in a variety of settings.

ITBC was established in 1997 to support Indigenous Nations and people to excel in tourism through growing and promoting a sustainable, culturally rich Indigenous tourism industry.

Location: West Vancouver, BC  Canada
Duration: Full-time, permanent, travel required
