Ahtsik Fine Art Gallery houses hand crafted art by Nuu-chah-nulth, Coast Salish and Kwakwaka’wakw nations on Vancouver Island. In addition to west coast art, other First Nations are also represented. Ahtsik Native Art Gallery is owned and operated by Nuu-chah-nulth artist Gordon Dick. When you come into the gallery, you immediately smell cedar. You will see many fresh cedar chips on the floor. Gordon and other artists are often working on wood carvings.
Custom orders are accepted for structural art for homes and businesses, such as posts and beams, interior and exterior doors, wood mantels, counters, sandblasted Native designs in glass panels of doors and cabinet doors. In addition, orders for totem poles and traditional west coast pieces like paddles, masks, walking sticks, bowls, figures and panels. Carved jewelry is also a big seller. Custom wedding bands, necklaces and bracelets. Original paintings, west coast basketry and authentic bentwood boxes are available for sale.
