Cedar Rose Workshop with Britany Quinn

Join Tahltan/Tlingit artist Britany Quinn as she teaches you how to make a beautiful cedar rose on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at lelem’ at the Fort in Fort Langely BC at 10am!

Cedar has long been a valuable resource to the Northwest Coast First Nations people, but it also plays an important role in spiritual belief and ceremonial life. 

Britany Quinn is a Tahltan/Tlingit artist from Vancouver, British Columbia who utilizes various mediums including photography, pen and ink, cedar, metal, and acrylics. She weaves and carves cedar, weaves wool, and designs and paints in keeping with traditional art forms.
