Haida-Tsimshian musical duo Sister Says have teamed up with the Bill Reid Gallery and Christ Church Cathedral to present, Giving Voice, a cross-cultural musical experience featuring established and emerging performers on Thursday, June 15 at 7pm at the Christ Church Cathedral.
Curated by Sister Says, this all ages show combines a variety of musical styles including soul, blues, atmospheric, and hip-hop for a truly unique evening. This event invites people of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate the living cultures of the Northwest Coast.
This show was inspired by Bill Reid’s love of music, and his commitment to reconciliation before this word came to represent the vital process of healing, empowerment and self-determination for Indigenous peoples and communities necessary to move towards a more just and equitable Canada.
The organizers of Giving Voice acknowledge that this event takes place on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.
