Nk’Mip Cellars

Nk’Mip Cellars
Located in Osoyoos, BC, Nk’Mip Cellars (in-ka-meep) is North America’s first Indigenous-owned winery, rooted in the culture, knowledge, and resilience of the Osoyoos Indian Band. Set in Canada’s only desert, the winery invites visitors to explore award-winning wines shaped by the land and cared for through generations of stewardship. More than 500 Band members continue to uphold this responsibility across 32,000 acres, creating an experience grounded in authenticity, heritage, and a deep connection to place. Nk’Mip, meaning “Bottomland,” reflects a living relationship with the past while offering simple pleasures shaped by the land today.
Sweetgrass at Nk’Mip extends this connection through food, gathering, and story. Rooted in Indigenous tradition, the restaurant offers a welcoming space to slow down and share a meal crafted with local ingredients.
Together, Sweetgrass and Nk’Mip Cellars offer a culinary and cultural experience rooted in respect for the land and the stories it holds.
