Vancouver is one of the world’s most beautiful cities, rich with Aboriginal culture, nature, world-class shopping, dining, and hotels. It is also home to the Coast Salish peoples including the Tsleil-Waututh, Musqueam, and Squamish Nations.

On getaway, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver with visits to historic Gastown, the 1000-acre Stanley Park, the 450-ft-long Capilano Suspension Bridge, and the public markets and galleries on colourful Granville Island. Your tour also includes an interpretive walk through Stanley Park with an Indigenous guide and a stay at Canada’s first Aboriginal art hotel.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Vancouver 

Welcome to Vancouver. You will be met upon arrival and introduced to your private driver who will transfer you to Skwachays Lodge – Canada’s first Indigenous art hotel. Spend the day exploring stores, parks, and restaurants of downtown Vancouver.

Stroll down to the harbourfront or up to trendy Robson Street to browse the many exclusive shops. Be sure to visit Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art, a public gallery named after the acclaimed Haida artist Bill Reid.

In the evening, enjoy a casual dinner at Salmon n’ Bannock Bistro, which features a menu of wild local fish, organic and free range meats, bannock and other culinary delights inspired by a variety of First Nations traditions.

Day 2 Vancouver Exploring 

Late morning embark on a 5-hour small group sightseeing tour of Vancouver. You will see many highlights including Canada Place, Robson Street, Sports Venues, the Library, theatres, Chinatown, and historic Gastown.

A short stop is made in Stanley Park before crossing over the iconic Lion’s Gate Bridge to Vancouver’s North Shore rainforest. Here you will walk across the 450-ft-long Capilano Suspension Bridge over a spectacular river canyon. The tour also visits Granville Island with its waterfront public market, artisan shops, eateries, and art galleries.

Day 3 Vancouver First Nations Discovery/Depart

This morning you will join a local First Nations guide from Talaysay Tours for a leisurely 90-minute ‘Talking Trees’ walking tour through 1,000-acre Stanley Park. Your guide will share the many stories of this region, as well as the intimate cultural and scientific knowledge of the Northwest coast trees and plants. You will learn how still today, these plants are used for food, medicine, art, and technology.

The remainder of the day is at leisure until it is time for you to depart. A private transfer has been arranged for you from your hotel to either the airport, train station, or cruise ship terminal.
