Office Manager - SXDC LP Office & Canoe Creek Store
Step into a dynamic role as the Office Manager for SXDC LP and Canoe Creek Store, where you’ll lead daily operations and drive strategic growth. You’ll work closely with the SXDC General Manager to ensure smooth office and store management while building strong relationships with community groups. This role offers a diverse set of responsibilities, including office administration, marketing, and financial management. The Office Manager is responsible for the successful leadership and general management of the SXDC LP Office and Canoe Creek Store according to the vision, objectives and strategic direction set in conjunction with the Board of Directors.
The Office Manager works with the SXDC General Manager, establishes effective working relationships with community groups, provides orientation and support, and leads the office in existing and future operational opportunities. This is a multi-disciplinary role that requires exceptional organizational and office administrative skills, marketing, and financial management, as broad categories.
Education:
• Degree in Office or Business Administration or related field or equivalent education and experience.
Specialized Knowledge:
• Knowledge of Office Administration in British Columbia.
• Knowledge and experience in human resources and financial management policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of financial and reporting requirements for governments agencies.
• Knowledge of legislation regarding the BC Employment Act & Regulations, Protection of Personal Information Act (FIPPA), BC Human Rights Code is an asset.
• Knowledge of working with First Nations communities.
Experience:
• Three to five years of progressive management of an administrative office or business that deals with administrative functions as a core element of that business.
• Experience dealing with financial budgets, preparing financial reports and analysis.
• Proven record of accessing, securing, and organizing office administration.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Experience working with First Nations is an asset.
Conditions of Employment:
• Must maintain strict confidentiality in performing duties and demonstrates personal attributes of integrity, respect, trust, honesty, compassion, and accountability.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Criminal Records Check.
• Must have a valid BC Driver’s Licence Class 5.
• Level 1 First Aid – Level 3 First Aid preferred.
• Must provide a vehicle in good operating condition and appropriate vehicle insurance to meet program requirements.
• Must reside at the Dog Creek location, to be able to work at the SXDC Office and Canoe Creek Store on a daily basis.
• Assistance in locating accommodation for the Office Manager in community.
Salary: Will be based on the candidate’s education and experience.
