ITBC Seeks Tourism and Business Development Experts to Work with Indigenous Tourism Businesses in BC

Indigenous Tourism BC (ITBC) Alignment Strategy supports and enhances a prosperous Indigenous tourism industry that connects visitors to exceptional and authentic Indigenous tourism experiences in BC. Our mission is to provide training, awareness, product development, and marketing to support a sustainable, authentic Indigenous cultural tourism industry in BC while contributing to cultural preservation and economic development.

ITBC invites experts in various fields to register in this database that we will share with Indigenous tourism businesses, communities, organizations, and entrepreneurs. We hope these new connections will inspire work together to enhance and strengthen the Indigenous tourism industry.

We are looking for experts for business support in the following categories:

  • Business plan development and feasibility study
  • Business operations/operational adaptation
  • Digital innovation
  • Experience development
  • Visitor experience
ITBC seeks experts with a minimum of four years of relevant experience in any of the above categories for work with Indigenous communities, businesses, and entrepreneurs. ITBC may contract qualified experts registered in this database to support a new ITBC program to build capacity for Indigenous tourism in BC. Experts will work to listen, understand, advise, and develop a clear action plan with Indigenous tourism operators in BC to improve their business recovery and potential. Additional mentorship hours may result from identified gaps. Registration in the database is not a solicitation or guarantee of work.

Complete and submit this form. ITBC will then connect with you to request any further required information.

Thank you for your time! If you have any questions, please contact Gail Joe at [email protected].
