Grant and Proposal Writing

This live virtual workshop is designed to help participants build the skills and confidence needed to write clear, compelling, and successful grant or contract proposals. Through hands-on exercises, discussion, and feedback over two six-hour days, participants will learn how to develop well-planned project proposals that respond to real challenges while aligning with funding requirements.

Who Should Attend?
This session is ideal for Indigenous tourism operators, community members, and tourism professionals who want to strengthen their proposal writing skills, secure funding, and support sustainable projects within their businesses, organizations, or communities.

Prerequisites
Each participant must have access to a computer or laptop with reliable internet connectivity, a webcam, and Microsoft Office or Google Docs. Attendance is mandatory and students are expected to participate fully in the workshop and actively engage in all course activities.

  • Indigenous peoples (First Nations, Inuit, Metis) residing in BC
  • Indigenous-owned tourism businesses (51%+ Indigenous ownership), and employees of
  • First Nations-owned tourism businesses (51%+ First Nations ownership), and employees of
  • First Nations Communities in BC
