Shop First Nations Digital Marketing & E-commerce Training

Facilitated by Shop First Nations founders, Rob Schulz & Chelssie Baker.

This training is designed for Indigenous tourism entrepreneurs, artisans & retail businesses new to digital marketing, or looking to move from a basic to an intermediate online presence (websites, social media, e-commerce bookings). The series covers three key topics, plus the opportunity to receive individual consultation time afterwards to put your digital marketing into action.


Full day in-person, Thursday July 24th 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM at the Shxwá:y Cultural Centre, 44692-B Skway Rd, Chilliwack

Schedule
    Coffee & Light Breakfast – 8:30am – 9am

  • Welcome & Brief Introductions – 9:00am – 9:15am
  • Digital Marketing Strategy (1.5-2 hours) 9:15am – 11:00am
    • Understanding the digital marketing landscape
    • Defining your brand identity and storytelling
    • Identifying your ideal customer & their online behavior
    • Creating a digital marketing plan to attract visitors
    Break Time – Refreshments & Snacks – 11:00am – 11:15am
  • Social Media Strategy (1.5-2 hours) 11:15am – 12:30pm
    • Selecting the right platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
    • Content creation & storytelling
    • Engaging with visitors & managing customer feedback
    • Strategies for increasing reach & bookings through social media ads
    Lunch Break – 12:30pm – 1:00pm
  • E-Commerce & Website Optimization (1.5-2 hours) 1pm – 2:30pm
    • Essentials of an effective website
    • Online booking tools & integrating e-commerce
    • SEO basics to rank higher in search results
    • Converting website visitors into paying customers
    Dessert Time! – 2:30pm – 2:45pm
