Having a solid crisis communication plan is not just an option; it’s essential. This fully-funded two-day VIRTUAL Crisis Communication Planning Training Series provides a step-by-step approach to developing a solid crisis communication plan and responding effectively when a crisis hits.

Is this session right for you?
This is an application-based program for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- You are responsible for building, maintaining, or approving your organization’s communications plan;
- Your organization communicates directly with the public, including visitors to your destination or business;
- Your company operates an Ingenious Tourism business or organizations in BC;
- You are an active ITBC Stakeholder in good standing;
- You can attend both training sessions on February 25 & 27 (Tuesday & Thursday), 2025.
This in-depth series will help you:
- Understand your organization’s role during an emergency or crisis within BC’s Tourism Emergency Management Framework
- Understand the elements of a crisis and how it impacts behaviour and response;
- Assess potential crises that could impact your local destination or organization;
- Create the tools and responses you will use in a crisis; and,
- Put your new skills to work in a simulation exercise.
