Schi:ya Cafe is owned and operated by an Indigenous entrepreneur from Seabird Island First Nation, operating the cafe in his home territory, located within the lakefront accommodation, Harrison Grand Motel, owned by the Seabird Island First Nation. Schi:ya Cafe is rooted in community with a mission to strengthen culture, cultural pride and to make a mark in the industry. Schi:ya Cafe was started to create a space that felt safe and represented Seabird Island First Nations people and values. Tse’k’wa, which means “Rock House” in Dane-zaa/Beaver language, has been a place for the Dane-zaa people to meet, share, rest, and celebrate for over 12,000 years. This site is the result of a unique collaboration between three Dane-ẕaa Nations: Doig River First Nation, Prophet River First Nation, and West Moberly First Nations. Through combined Indigenous knowledge and western science, Tse’k’wa connects the past, present, and future. Go on an exciting journey of shared history that builds respect for the land’s First Peoples. From walking the trail to learning about wild plants in the healing garden, there are many ways to connect with the land and learn about the Dane-zaa and their vibrant culture. Admission to Tse’k’wa is free but donations are always welcome. The site is open for self-guided tours year-round with staff hours varying.

Canoe Cultures is an Indigenous lead organization, dedicated to the art and culture of the canoe, and the artists who create them, all events and programs take place on the traditional homeland of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh(Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) people. In addition to an artist collective, focused on passing on the art of canoe carving, this organization offers canoe tours that launch from the Concord Pacific Community Park. Book a tour to learn about Coast Salish Indigenous History and the rich heritage of canoe culture that traces back to ancient times, immemorial. Dunne Za Lodge is located on the shores of Moberly Lake on West Moberly First Nations in North east BC.
